A better grip

I have had my Solo carry for some time now and have about 800 rounds through it with only one malfunction. It was a FTE at about round #60 using the good ammo that Kimber recommended. But over ninety percent of the ammo through this gun has been your basic 115 grain ammo with no issues at all. I really love this gun and it is very accurate. The one thing that I would like to change is the grip. I would love one like Kimber puts on their 1911 Stainless TLE/RL II. That grip feels like it is made from a rubber material. Does anyone make a similar grip for the Solo?

Hello Bagger.

There aren't too many aftermarket options for grips yet. SGM makes very nice wood grips. I have a set on my Solo and you can see them in the sticky for pics in this subforum. VZ Grips makes nice grips with a focus on G10 material. Not sure what the grips are made of in your reference to the TLE/RL II.

Welcome to the forum from Colorado. I don't have a TLE, so not sure about the grips on it - maybe call Kimber & ask?
