Broken Fireing pin saftey follow-up

Just wanted to follow up and again mention CS at Kimber was phenomenal and I had my Solo back within 9 days (including shipping back and forth).
As I said they stated that they also replaced barrel and slide (which I saw nothing wrong). Yesterday while cleaning my Solo I noticed that the barrel is a different design than the original. It was not as bulbous in the center and there was what I will call a rectangular ridge which fit into the lug area where people were complaining of peening. I did not recall this feature on my original barrel. I wasn't sure but it was possible that I was getting the beginnings of peening on the slide when I sent it back. It seems that Kimber has reworked the design flaw in the barrel and slide that was causing the peening. I truly appreciate the fact that I did not complain about that issue and yet the proactively took care of the potential problem. In my opinion you can't ask much more from a company. First class operation.

Great news, now all that left is to make it out to the range and verify that everything is good to go.

Thanks Chuck! I certainly did go to the range and test her. 100+ rounds and everything was perfect. Don't know if it was my imagination but there was something about it that felt a little smoother. Again, maybe just my imagination!!
