Question Safety Roll Pin Failure On Solo's

In another thread Cucamonga Kid related an issue he had with one of his Solo's.
Apparently the roll pin on his Solo's safety came loose and he resolved the problem with a little Lock tight.
Seems I remember him talking about this some time back but cannot find that thread.
Curiosity over how common this issue might be with the Solo led me to try and research this.
I've tried finding mention of this issue on this sight and over the web with no result.
Since this is a Solo forum, I thought I would ask all you Solo owners if you've had or ever heard ( excepting the known issue Cucamonga Kid had ) of this issue with the Solo?

But since that whole tread was started by Cucamonga as an April Fools joke, perhaps everything in it should just be considered a joke.

But back to my query, has any Solo owner ever had
or heard of an issue with the Solo's safety roll pins coming loose?

Thanks for posting.

I recently noticed that the two roll pins on my Solo Carry safety are sticking up about 1/16" or so and the right side safety lever is a bit loose. I've been meaning to start a thread to see whether this is normal or not.

I owned three Solo's. One for two years, two short term. I known several 'real' Solo owners and their guns for years.
....'No' roll pin issues.

Both the roll pins on my Solo also stick up 1/16" and both are tight.
Both safety levers are also tight ( while testing it seemed one side would move a little when both were down but closer examination revealed that both were actually moving and nether were loose ).

Thanks for checking Trex !!! Since I'm not experiencing any issues, I will consider it GTG and continue to enjoy my range time with it.

I recently found a LGS in my area that has several new Solos in stock and they have quoted me a killer good price on a CDP model. I'm just trying to convince myself I REALLY need another one

There was a thread well over year ago were a poster stated that his pins were coming loose and I suggested the Loctite and he like that idea tried it, and it worked. There was also a Solo review on YouTube that I saw maybe two years ago where the author actually showed pictures of his slide that was scratched by the loose roll pins when it cycled and jammed. But he was probably limp wristing.

Maybe you could get a better deal on Cuca's old one with the locktighted roll pins?

My roll pins are up about 1/8" Never had one fall out and there is no evidence of either of them moving. Safety is nice, tight and smooth.
It's probably because I dont limp wrist. Lol
