Solo vs Micro

Like my Solo, not crazy about the long striker trigger though. Was thinking about a micro. I mostly shoot 1911''s and am used to that trigger. Carry my solo in my front jeans pocket alot, not sure I'd like a micro "cocked and locked" there.
Any thoughts?

I've read enough in both sections to determine that I would not carry either.

What Phil said.
I would not and did not feel confident carrying a piece with a shaky family reputation. Even if a fire arm has been reworked or "YONKERED" I still would not be 100% confident in it for self defence. The mere fact that so many have to go back to the factory to be tweaked keeps me from even purchasing one. There are just too many going out the door that don't work as they should.

I like the 1911 platform. The M9 fits nicely in my front pocket, cocked and locked. Wouldn’t carry any other way, then cocked and locked.

Too funny. I carry my Solo, because it reliably fires my carry ammo. It has never once failed to fire my carry ammo. It will jam with cheaper range ammo, but in over 3,000 rounds, it has never once failed with the ammo I carry. I think that is what I expect from a carry gun, to reliably shoot the ammo I carry. It does. As a range gun, not so great, but I do shoot it every trip to the range.

Have you tried American Eagle as a range ammo?
I've put a ton of it through my Solo without a single failure.

I had an M9 CDP and have had a Solo for quite a while. I like the 1911 platform, but could not get used to keeping the Con 1 in my pocket. Great little gun, in the long run my Solo DC has won out! Shoots everything I feed it reliably!

It works fairly well with it. I haven't shot a lot of it. Usually though, I just shoot the ammo I carry. I also get occasional good deals on Hydra Shok at guns shows and shoot that. Last range visit, I shot 100 UMC though it. It doesn't like them, but they are cheap.

I am going to try and work up a load for it at some point and see how they work. I still need 9mm dies though and I just haven't bought them. I'm thinking Christmas.

I have both the Solo (DC-LG) and the Micro9(LG). The Micro9 is my first SA pistol, and I too am reluctant to carry it condition 1. I'm having fun with it at the range however. As for the Solo, I have the RTK trigger on my Solo, and it shortens the pull significantly. I'm actually glad it has a thumb safety. Mine also made its pilgrimage to Yonkers when it was new, but has been flawless since. I own several pistols from several manufacturers, and have sent a few back that weren't right out of the box. This one has been great ever since, and I do not hesitate to carry it.
