Got my solo back

Got it back after 4 months, no paperwork was with it. Well, its raining here so I just put 7 rounds though it off the front porch (live in the country). First shot was fine, then it held open on every subsequent shot. Its not that it wasn't assembled correctly from the repair shop. Any suggestions as to what to look for? I will not go through another 5 months of pain, if I can figure it out I may use it for a target.

No - I only have the one. However, its the same one they supposedly used at the repair facility. They were also supposed to use 124 and 147 gain ammo and I asked they shoot more than just a few round through it to make sure it functioned. Im hoping its just break in, the pistol has a lot of new parts as they had to replace the frame.

Make sure the slide stop was properly installed and holds the little spring down. That's what it sounds like to me.

Check the slide stop spring and use correct ammo. Then get on the phone to KIMBER. No way it should take 4 months. Mine was back in about two weeks. Also make sure you aren't limp wristing it. Good luck!

Just incase any one is interested in why my post come at all hours?
I work during the day from 8:00 to who knows when. (Realtor)
My prostate works 24hrs a day. It seems to be working its best around 1:30-4:00 in the morning. Thus the early morning post response.

GET THAT SOLO WORKING, You Will Love It.

Even though it was in for repair.
Doesn't mean it wasn't assembled properly!
Mine came back from Kimber with slide stop spring not in
proper position. I had to correct it at the range.
Don't have a range on front porch, nice option!

I'm a whole lot better off since I got rid of mine.
Guns & Ammo did a (mini 9mm) 10 gun test. The solo was not tested
because of the pricey tag it has, but it would not have made it!
1K rnds, no cleaning! right out of the box, with a non pretested ammo.
NO WAY JOSE!
Walther PPS, Glock 43, and hold on . . Taurus 709 slim in that order!
good LUCK, you'll need it. been there and done that with bolo solo.

Yeah I can personaly vouch for the Taurus pt709slim. I have over 1500 flawless rounds through mine. Probably one of the best single stack 9mm out there.

So heres the story to date - I didn't even both looking at the spring since it shot the first round and picked up a second and shot it before the lock back started happening. But, yes, it was the spring. On to the test, shot 50 rds of 124 gn today, one jam - but it was an easy jam to clear. More shooting tomorrow, I hope. db
