July 4th Independence Purchase

Went to my LGS today and came home with this beauty. This is my second Solo, the first was just the standard carry model. HAd a friend that just had to have it, so I sold it to him. It never had a failure. I'm hoping I have the same reliability out of this one.

Congratulations on the new Solo, I'm a Kimber fan but I'm also hoping you have the patience to get it working right just in case it proves troublesome.

Thanks all. I hope to get to the range this week. IF it does not work well, I will take the time to send it back. I have a few other handguns to fall back on. I have had it sitting with the slide locked back since I bought it. I do that to get that spring loosened up a bit. Worked on the first one. I will for sure post range results.

Congrats on the new Solo! Always good to read positive posts on Solos. Thanks for sharing how you leave the slide locked back for breakin. Never read that before. Makes sense. Enjoy!

Snuck away and got to the range today.
50 rounds American Eagle 124GR. 0 Failures. I did have a couple of failure to return to full battery, but I am 100% that my fault. It only happened on a certain grip I was trying.
5 rounds Federal HST 124GR. 0 failures.

I know its just a start, but I am thrilled with the results.
