If he gets one for the right price, even if if dont work kimber will try to fix it. I heard that they even gave people a discount on other kimbers if they couldnt.

For carry, no. Why bother? There's plenty of great subcompact 9mm to choose from rather than chasing a failed platform discontinued by the manufacture. For hobby, sure.

8 years ago we didn't know what we know now. Lots of folks bought those guns in good faith and got burned in wasted range time and high-dollar ammo dicking around and frustrated with a carry gun that didn't work. Today we know better.

Maybe, if he's looking for an EDC, self protection gun NO! If he's looking for something to tinker with and challenge his skills then YES!

I wouldn't tell my worst enemy to buy a Solo.

Like Phil said we are smarter now than 8 years ago.

I'll have to go with "no" I'd think there are better ways to spend your "gun dollars".

I Think they should bring the Solo back as a 380.

Unless a person just wanted something to dink about with, then why would virtually anyone want to purchase a documented failed design?

As has been mentioned, if you really want to spend some money on a pistol, there's a plethora of decent options available that actually work!

you ever notice, there's always THAT GUY who has to get on a forum and down whatever the focus of the forum is?

Do you REALLY want to take advice from a dullard that doesn't know the difference between a "poll" and a "pole" ? What's that old saying about a poor craftsman that blames his tools? Perhaps the Solo haters would be better off with pepper spray, something even old ladies can deploy effectively.

My Solo DC is the best carry weapon I've ever had. It runs great. I'm convinced 90% of Solo failures are due to not RTFM. The other 10% are people that have no business anywhere near a gun, much less a high end specialized one.
