Out of DROS jail

First Kimber, 3rd 1911, picked up after 45minutes sitting still on the 91 and another half hour waiting for my number to be called at Turner's.

Hopefully tomorrow I get to abuse a few trees with it.

You had to wait at Turners on a weekday? Apparently this is the new paradigm for brick and mortar stores. A buddy told me recently that there was a two hour wait at his place. That wouldn't fly for me... I get impatient if I choose the slow line at the grocery store.

Seriously, bro, there are plenty of FFL's who work out of their homes. There's probably someone close to you. If you're near Westminster or Yorba Linda, I can make recommendations.

The new 1911 looks sweet. I'm a fan of traditional color schemes. Let us know how she shoots.

In the granola republic, it's called gunmageddon. A series of laws passed this year to seriously hamper purchase and ownership of legal firearms and ammunition. This is causing a major backup at gun stores and is part of the reason some internet ammunition suppliers are backed up 2 to 3 weeks.

First 150 rounds had 15 FTFs. Yes, I cleaned it and lubed it. First round of every mag needed the slide bumped to go into battery. Was using Wilson 10 round mags and both had the issue.

First 20 rounds through the gun. At 7 yards. First round is that low left. Then settled down. Low left in orange was first of second mag.

Later we moved it out to 10 yards.the elbow and 3 of the 4 low left of the 8 box were the wife before she decided she didn't like compacts. The rest was all me.

Not bad considering I can't see the sights.

For comparison, this is from my CZ 75B with a Burris FF3 at 10 yards
