Range Report! Eclipse 10mm CDP Pro (.45 acp)

https://www.kimbertalk.com/forums/att...66521469586652

The magazines on the left are all (.45acp) Kim Pro Tac mags. The magazines on the right are from Joe's Magmania (10 mm)
I shot 3 mags of .45 230 grn. fmj and 5 mags of 230 grn. swc of my own reloads all performed very well. I did have two rds fail to go all the way into battery. Pulled the slide back and sling shot it both times worked just fine.
The 10 mm Eclipse ran perfect with FM munitions 180 grn fmj
When I took my time shot placement was good with both 1911's. I read sno-tao's report about relaxing the shoulders. The tip of my barrel wavers to much to suit me though.Anyone have suggestions on how to reduce barrel movement?
Those are not marks on the Eclipse that is just oil.

Oil? :-) I look at the pictures first, and just thought the Eclipse was a working gun. I'm a fan of the 10mm, it offers a whole lot of bang. Mine's one of those "G" guns that we're not allowed to mention here.

As for shoulder relaxation, I'm no kinesiologist, but I have some top-notch people who sometimes lend advice. Right now, scapular mobility intrigues me. Perhaps increasing your neurological control over this area will translate into better stabilization. Watch the video and work on it. Even if it doesn't help your shooting, it will make you a stronger, healthier human. And if nothing else, use the Force, let it guide you, Tom...

I really do enjoy shooting the 10mm, I really like the speed of the round. Reminds me of a .357 it is definitely fun to shoot.

Nice report Tom, if you like playing with big stuff you should look into a .460 Rowland conversion kit. Slip the kit into a 5" 1911 and you can shoot a standard .45 or the equivalent of a .44 mag round through it. The compensator makes shooting the .460 round a pleasure to shoot.

Nice Shooting Tom . I love my Eclipse 10 mm Also . I recently got a Guncrafters conversion kit 50 Cal short slide and barrel for my Glock 20 10mm . I wonder about the kick . Have not shot it yet .
