Popped the Kimber cherry (range report)

Took the Pro Carry II for her first range date. She ran like a dream. I only had a 50 box of Fiocchi 230 fmj. ( 500 due to arrive Wednesday )
Wilson combat mag and Kimber's stock mag both flawless. Casing ejected right high and hard perfectly. Accuracy... well I can only blame me not the gun because some were dead center and others I know it was me getting used to the trigger and sights. I just couldnt see paying 30 bucks after taxes for the magtech crap 45 they had at the range but I will most likely be back breaking her in more weds.
Ohh pics...

Oh heck the other Ladies are jealous since they went for the range ride today too sooo.. First is the S&W 29-3 44mag

And the Taurus PT99AF (yeah I know Taurus but the thing eats anything and shoots like a dream )

Nice collection and nothing wrong with Taurus. I have a PT 709 with over 2000 flawless rounds it runs like a champ. Picture is 10 yards and a 8" target.

Once that Kimber has 500 or so rounds through it, it will start eating about anything you feed it. Can be a little fussy the first 500 rounds but sounds like you had a good day with it.

Nice range report, always great to hear it was malfunction free. I have the Ultra version of your Pro Carry.
I have always loved the Smith's your 629-3 is a classic. I bought this 29-1 with 3" barrel last week, not had a chance to shoot it yet, I'm sure it will be fine.

That's a purdy Revolver! Been wanting one just like it problem is so many choices in great firearms and never enough money.

I am sorry to correct you but that is a picture of a 29-3, I own a 629-3 6" and it has a full under lug.

So took her out to the range again yesterday for more breaking in. Started getting the dang kimber mag last round hang up. Fortunately already had a wilson mag that runs great. 150 rounds down range and getting much better with learning the POI and POA.
So I called Kimber this morning and complained nicely about the mag issue and they are sending me a free 8 round Kimpro Tac-Mag. And since they were paying shipping I threw on a 3 pack of recoil springs and the Hogue wrap around grips. Who knows I joked about anything else they wanted to toss in free.. but thats a long shot.

So now that I have about 400 rounds through her I am loving her more and more.
20160927_115804[1].jpg

16 rounds at 30 feet. Was not rushing it but about one shot ever 1-2 secs (I tend to shoot better not trying as hard ) Still with the black sights indoors so groups are getting tighter. Trigger is smoothing out and better every time. I am sure if I bench rested it would be one much tighter.
