My daughter had to have tonsil related surgery at scottish rite childrens hospital in Atlanta this past Friday. I went to check on KT from my ipad on their wi-fi and got a message it was blocked "weapons".

They're probably using OpenDNS, a really good third party DNS service. It's free to individuals and superior to anything else out there. It can provide you a higher degree of security while remaining transparent to the end user.

Besides being faster and updated more frequently than your ISP's name server, OpenDNS is configurable to suit your needs. I use it to block sites known to be associated with malware, botnets, phishing, rebinding, adware, spam, and parked domains. There are fifty other categories you can block, which might be of interest if you have youngin's on your network.

Some of these categories are Chat, Drugs, Gambling, File Sharing, and Porn. Weapons is a category, as well. All these categories are just a checked box that the administrator handles.

Perhaps you'd be doing our community--and our country--a favor by dropping an email to a couple of the directors, explaining your situation and the inconvenience posed by their censorship decisions. It's a two minute job to uncheck the "weapons" box on their setup screen.

Same at Emory.

Sport/Marshall....I don't post personal gun pictures on KT or any site, for any reason. Never have/never will. Taking IP risk is for those that choose to do so, I don't.

If you have a problem with that, choose a orifice.
End of subject.
