my first custom

The custom I see in my mind has a black slide a satin finish frame and a black grip. The Master Carry grip in some photos has a lot of grayish blue and to me that clashes with the satin finish. I dont like that. Do i get a Master carry and change the grips? Ideas?

That's one way to go. For me I like the looks of the Grey contrast grips on the Master Carry. But to each his own. Lots of people are putting those grey/black VZ grips on there black Kimbers. They have several colors to pick from if that pulls your trigger.

The Master Carry and Super Carry are basically the same guns, the MC comes with Crimson Trace grips. If you're going to change grips you might be better off looking at the Super Carry line.

Master Carry doesn't have a HD version, with the steel frame. I would suspect the grips on the MC would fit the SC if you wanted CTC grips on the SC.

You're right Gary, the MC and SC series use the same frames.

If you like two-tones, another entry in the "I'm too sexy for my grips" category is the Aegis line which is a 9 mm and what I call "Not Ugly."

I wouldn't ever worry about the grips, because they are inexpensive and you can change them in two minutes. Get the gun that turns you on, and you can add grips that you like later.

Oh yeah! I like the serrations on the Super Carry! This could be the one with some cool black grips.

That WOULD be cool. Then you have to decide whether it's G-10, Micarta or Ebony.
