Answer me this.....

How come all five of my Dan Wesson 1911s, which are built much "tighter" than ANY Kimber, run 100% since day one WITHOUT needed a ridiculous 500 round "break in" period? Why can't Kimber make a gun that runs 100% out of the box when others can at similar price points?

My Kimber has run 100% right out of the box.

Sample of 1 and how many rounds do you have through it? I bet not much.

This is a pointless argument and some of you are being goaded into it.

My custom has been running perfectly, after the first 50 rounds which I can't eliminate my inexperience and/or ammo. But that being said, there may be 200,000 flawless Kimbers out there and maybe a dozen with issues, and all you'll hear about are the ones with issues. The fact that Kimber is happy to correct the issue and make the customer happy is a better point to discuss.

Answer me this: "Why is it some people are never happy unless they are stirring the pot and annoying others?"

What purpose are you serving here, there are many Dan Wesson forums for you to play on. Every post you've made here (14) have been knocking Kimbers. If you'd like I can arrange a vacation for you to think it over.

According to the members of the 1911Forum, there is no such thing as a trouble-free 1911. Doesn't seem to matter if you paid $600 or $6,000. Each one will have it's quirks form time to time and gun to gun.
