Use 230 gr FMJ. Try different magazines and run it wet.

Does this mean you did not field strip and clean it and then re oil it before taking it out to shoot?
On the advice of these smart people here I added a "little' bit extra oil to my pro carry II I got a month ago. This is what they mean by running it wet. The better a 1911 is the tighter the tolerances. So it needs a bit of time to actually 'break in' Not have it dripping oil or anything just make sure it drop or 2 on the key areas and then use a qtip to wipe it in.

This is a fallacy. Kimber may build guns that are over tight coming from the factory but high end 1911s are built and fitted by hand and don't require break-in.

Welcome from Northeast, Pa.
If you didn't field strip your gun, clean and oil it before you shot it, I would recommend doing this before your next range outing.

Welcome to the forum from northern Illinois wedoit.
Contrary to popular belief new Kimbers are NOT ready for the range out of the box. From page 26-27 of the owners manual.......

26
BREAK-IN PERIOD
Before firing the pistol for the first time, Field Strip
and clean the firearm following proper procedures
(see DISASSEMBLY, CLEANING and
LUBRICATION and ASSEMBLY Instructions in this
Manual).
Kimbers firearms are quality custom
pieces. Our firearms are hand fitted to tight

27
tolerances. For proper Break-in of the firearm
shoot 400-500 rounds of Quality Factory Ball (230g. FMJ)
ammunition, cleaning and lubricating the gun every 100-150 rounds

Welcome to the forum from East Texas.

I second what Chuck43 and other have said. Give it a good cleaning and lubrication. See if that doesn't help your issue.

I agree with the excellent advice from Chuck. The pistol is "NOT" lubed from the factory.
Clean it, lube "well" read that extra lube, shoot good quality ammo.
