Ultra Carry II Slate Wood CT Limited Run

Back in 2011 I bought a Kimber Ultra Carry II with Slate wood gray Crimson Trace grips. It was suppose to be a limited run of 1,000 I think it was, with half being Ultra's and the other half Pro's. I've only run a few mags through it. Am I correct on the number of them made? Do they have any kind of collectible value to them? I ask because I am wanting another FNH Five-Seven and this piece is probably how I am going to pay for it. It is in the original box with whatever it came with. Thanks in advance.

I called Kimber when I found this, I thought I hit gold!! Yes, only 1000 where made for Master Dealers, Kimber gave me a value of around $1500. This is just more of a "cool factor" gun. Still one of my favorites to shoot.
I have the brochure for this in my photo album under my profile, I can't get it to load in this thread.

Just to be clear, what Kimber gave you was the MSRP for a new gun from a dealer, they don't give out used gun prices.

Welcome to the site from Tennessee.

Can you give us a little more input why you think your Ultra Carry is special/limited? Don't know if a limited number run would be enough to make it collectible. I would think depending on condition value would be in the $900-to maybe $1,000 range.
Not heard of that model being collectable, not saying it's not, just not heard about that one.

EDIT: I found back in 2011 online at Slickguns website they listed them, priced at $1,149. They did call them Special Edition, I guess either due to the Crimson Trace grips or they said it had the dark gray frame like the SIS models. That's all I could find.

Here is a current GB listing for a (LG) sister model.

Kimber Ultra Carry II .45 Burlwood Laser Grips NIB : Semi Auto Pistols at GunBroker.com

I bought one from Sportsmans Supply in June for 805. + 15. shipping, no CC fees. It has fluted F&R straps and white dot sights.

imo....my new gun net cost is about the same as a used gun.

Brew, I don't know what the OP's pistol looks like but the one pictured in the old Slickguns site was all black, not two-tone like you have pictured. Did you have to pay 1500 back in the day?

I guess in Kimber "speak terms" it don't take much to be a (Limited Edition)?

Don't shoot the messengers!

Hellp no, I traded a Solo for this Ultra, remember? When I was doing some interweb looking on the UC, I couldn't find a two tone in this combo, except the CDP, so I called Kimber with numbers and the guy there told me this is what it was, I was excited for 10 seconds until he told me no collector value, just cool value. They were $1399 msrp at the time. I figure I came out ahead with the trade. That's all, no big score, just cool score....

Forgot... box it came in, has printed "Slatewood Ultra Carry II Limited Edition" I was just guessing OP was asking about this model? If not, my bad, put me in a time out for a week!
