Functional upgrades

Added a couple of upgrades to the pro carry. One con for me was the breakdown.

@cousinmark suggested the Wilson Combat flat-wire recoil spring kit and I must say, this was a great buy. I like being able to field strip anywhere as needed without a tool, so installed that piece. Only thing I don't care for is the guide rod length, leaves a hole up front that can potentially attract dirt and may affect primary function to the spring. This is fine, this isn't my carry and I have no plans of dumping it in dirt/mud.

Second upgrade, changed out the plastic mainspring housing to metal with a magwell. This feels great, mag changes are a lot more positive for me.

Going out to test function tomorrow. Anxious to see the feed reliability of the spring kit.

I like the looks of your MSH and magwell, I run WCFWS in all my Pro and Custom size Kimbers and love them. You will find that after you get a couple of hundred rounds through the gun the recoil spring will smooth out even more.

Looks good Flick, hope all goes well at the range. Out of curiosity what brand is the MSH and magwell and did it fit perfectly or require any mods?

It's a 2 piece nighthawk. Drop-in, no fitting needed. The finish is parkerized though, I'll be coating the frame plus MSH once I bang it up a little more.
