Pet Peeves...

I really like magazines that are flush fit at the bottom. If it ain't flush fit it's ugly. That's right u-g-l-y it ain't got no alibi. IT'S UGLY.

That's cool. For a carry weapon I prefer it. Otherwise for me it depends on the gun; some look cool to me with a short or long bumper pad. I use the long ones on my Kim Pro Tac's on my TLE.

Next time you slap a mag in and end up with a pinch blister from the experience, you'll reconsider the lug on the bottom of a mag.

Ambi safeties, fine with me.

I guess that why they make more than one model.

I like the looks of a gun with a flush mag and all the loaded guns in my house have them except for my Sig P238 which has an extended magazine with the pinky grove. All my additional magazines have a bumpers on them, if I need to quickly reload one of my guns I want something I can slap to help firmly and quickly seat it.

Without the bumper, I can't seat a full mag with a round already in the chamber for my Super Carry. For this reason, all the mags for that pistol have bumpers on them. It's a home defense weapon, looks are secondary - maximizing capacity is primary.

With the mag well on my Pro Carry II, I like the base of the WC ETM which extends about 1/8th inch beyond the bottom of the well. It functions perfectly. I also use the same ETM mags in my Royal II, which doesn't look good perhaps, but at that point, it is about function. If I want to take a picture or show it to somebody, I'll have the blue flush mag in it.

Wilson makes a mag that has a small metal base plate which I think looks good but is slightly beyond flush. That is a good alternative to flush or clunky. IMHO. (Pictured: ETM, big pad, small metal pad. All Wilson's)

U-G-L-Y, you ain't got no alibi.....!!!

I like flush fit magazines!! Bumper pads, Hmmmmmmm,........not so much!! YMMV!!! Blisters from slamming a mag in the mag well? After 25 years as a lineman, I have so many scars on my hands you'd have to look for a place to put a blister!!!!pound.gif pound.gif pound.gif

You guys really do come up with some good ideas! Back up magazines don't have to be purdy.

Question Huh?

Isn't a pet peeve kind of like a lemming? Do they jump off cliffs every seven years, too??
