Camping Trip Range Report

Had an awesome time shooting some of our guns during our camping trip this past weekend!

Mr. Chickadee & I went through a total of 700 rounds, which is kinda low for our usual camping trips.

Both Kimbers performed FLAWLESSLY.
The Tactical II is now at 570 total rounds - officially EDC worthy!!
The Super Carry is now at 900 rounds total, 230 flawless rounds since visiting Yonkers - also now defensive worthy (it's destined as a HD pistol).

The Sig P238, CZ 2075 RAMI & the S&W Model 41 didn't manage to fire anything downrange - we tired out before it was their turn.

Mr. Chickadee's M&P 15 was also present - didn't fit into the picture, but did get some range time.

Carnage: We managed to break our spinner target - suspect it was the .45's fault. Several blocks of wood mounted on top of 10 inch nails were also destroyed! Super fun to see the .45's EXPLODE the wood!! One of the 10 inch nails was shot in 1/2 & another was bent. Several empty tin cans were also perforated.

It's about time you posted you were starting to worry me, good thing I stayed on line a little later tonight. Glad to hear you had a great time, I always liked chopping firewood with a .45 LOL.

Sounds more like a shooting trip then a camping trip. Glad all went well!

What's camping without shooting?
We have to plan out when we want to shoot to make sure it happens BEFORE adult beverages start.

Not shooting while camping would be like a picnic without hotdogs or a campfire without marshmellows. Sorry I missed the fun.

......And a good time was had by all!! A .45 makes great kindling wood for the campfire!!! Glad to see that Kimber worked their magic on your Super Carry. Much more fun when it is behaving!!!

Bet there are some great places to camp out there in Colorado. If you get high enough (No Colorado marijuana pun intended!! hippie.gif hippie.gif) in the mountains, it's probably quite pleasant during the summer!! sleeping.pngsleeping.png

Thanks for sharing, Chickadee!!

Lows in the mid 40's - nicer now that we're in a trailer with a furnace instead of a tent!

Looks like a grand success. I miss being able to shoot stuff that explodes/breaks/flips in the air. Sometimes civilization sucks.
