New Camping Target

Here's a new target Mr. Chickadee dreamed up & fabricated. Planning on using a shot timer (free app on the phone) to set up a little competition between us.

Very excited to see how well it holds up!

Very nice. What are the targets made of?

Nice work Mr. Chickadee the only problem is that a couple of poorly aimed shots will do some real damage to that wood frame.

I think it's pretty sweet Chickadee. You'll have lots of fun with it!

A replacement 2x4 may be cheaper than a good steel deflector.

Targets are plywood -two 3/4 inch pieces glued together & then cut into 5 inch squares.

With them sitting loosely on the cross beam, there should be enough cross-grain in those two pieces to hold together, at least for the weekend.

'Yup' - direct quote from Mr. Chickadee.

There is a 'sacrificial' strip of plywood on the front of the support piece. We don't expect it to last for more than one trip - as long as we have fun! Modifications may be made if it works well.

That's our hope! Maybe we'll start with 9mm & .380 to give it a fighting chance.
