A problem with my Kimber 1911, What to do?

I purchased my Kimber few months back and upon my first visit to the shooting range, I realized some problems with my hand gun. Which I assumed were all due to being in the break in period, but these problems persisted. Here they are, 1. Failure to fully cycle with at least 1 or 2 rounds per mag (I have to knock the slide from the back for it to slide all the way). 2. Slide delay about half a second after some shots, when recycling (I can see it rack after I make a shot down the range, basically, the slide gets stuck to the back for about half a second before sliding back to the front/recycling). While I was cleaning my hand gun the other day, I notice a dent on the feed ramp. I will provide a picture and hope for some insight from you guys.

Send it back to kimber. You didn't say if it was an Aluminum frame but the anodize should be harder than that to prevent hollow points from digging into the ramp.

Looks like a hollow point dug in and the anodize isn't hard enough.

I'm honestly not sure if it was caused by a hollow point round, but you could be correct. It's an aluminum frame.

I see no mention of a thorough cleaning. It has been totally cleaned, correct?

If only Kimber anodized their alloy frames....nope. They spray paint them then cut the ramp

It must be those tight tolerances.
