Range report ultra raptor ii and solo

Shot my raptor for first time today, purchased new 2weeks ago. Shot 100 rounds of gun range reloads, and 100 mixed lot of amo from my range bag. Not one mess up on feeding the amo. I did have one time my magazine would not lock in, I racked the gun one time, it snapped in and never happened again. I was using 3 magazines at a time, all kimber .love the gun first time out. The solo different story. I was shooting American eagle amo 2 regular magazine and one extended . One of the regular kept falling out causing the gun to jam up. Once I realized it was just one magazine I stopped using it and had much better luck. After I got home I realize the one magazine wasn't falling out, I was hitting in release button causing it to come out. For some reason that magazine takes almost no pressure on the button to release it, compaired to the other two. Has anyone ever had to deal with that.? Bad magazine.? Thank you

Good to hear your Raptor ate the assortment of ammo you fed it. Don't have a Solo can't give you much input about that.

It was more a buffet I guess . In the future I will be more careful in knowing what kind of amo I am shooting, after reading other post on here I can see where it would be important to know.

Glad you had a successful day at the range. That's always a big plus, especially with a new gun. It only gets better from here on.

Yeah, with some pistols ammo kind/type can make a big difference.

Talking Good Range Experience

Glad to hear about you good range experience (mostly). Sounds like the Raptor is a shooter!!! If the hang up with the Solo is caused by one questionable magazine............I have the cure!! The cure is now famous on this forum! (See the attached photos) This magazine will NEVER fail to feed again!!! It now hangs on the wall in my man cave/computer room!!!

Great report on the Ultra Raptor II (I love that gun). I wish I could offer some help with the SOLO but I've never even held one.

Great to hear the Raptor functioned well for you!

I've never even handled a Solo, but I do have the mag release issue with my Sig P238. Haven't found the perfect solution yet, but rotating my support hand slightly by 'pushing' my thumb forward has helped.
