My Second Purchase for 2017 - Cucamonga Kid, Don't Look !

Stopped by a LGS I'd not visited in a while this afternoon. Was cruising the display case looking at their stock of new Micros and happened to notice a Solo stuck in with them. Asked the guy if I could look at it. Noticed the tag said Used, but I was hard pressed to find evidence it had been shot. Asked the guy what he'd take for it and he gave me an out the door price I couldn't resist

Got home a while ago and if I had to guess, I'd say it has had less than 50 rounds through it. Can barely see evidence of slide rub on the rails. Didn't need any cleaning but I put it through a quick one, loaded up the mags to let them sit. Man its hard to get 6 rounds in them. It came with two of the flush 6 round mags and I plan to stick with them as it sounds like the 8 round mags are problematic.

I've read through a LOT of the posts on the Solo on hear so I am fully aware of what to expect. Reading the recent posts that Kimber will be discontinuing made me want to get one just to see what its like. It has a SWEEET trigger for sure !! and fits my hand perfectly. Can't wait to get to the range with it.

Brave move, sometimes you just have to see for yourself! Can't wait to read the range report.

I've been thinking of trying a Micro .380.

We've had good reports on both of wife's Micros. Highly recommend.

Hang in there no matter what. With proper tune up's it will run fine. May take a while but it will be worth it. Congrats

Thanks Nellybelle,
I made the purchase with full knowledge of what the potential issue(s) would be. I have plenty of carry guns, so its not like I need it to be fit for purpose immediately. I plan to take my time, use the recommended ammo and follow the manual and see what the outcome will be. If the darn thing never works as it should, I'll just toss in the safe and bequeath it in my will to someone that would be deserving of it

When driving home from the LGS yesterday, I couldn't help but think about a car I ended up with many many years ago. It was the Ford Pinto model that would explode upon rear end collisions. My ex-wife bought it, without my involvement and I ended up with it in the divorce (lucky me). Tried to sell it, but because of the reputation, nobody wanted it. Heck, I don't think I could have given the darn thing away.

Was putting a lot of miles on my truck with my 80 mile commute to work each day, so I decided to start driving it. Turned out to be one of the most dependable vehicles I'd owned. Dang near drove the wheels off it putting close to 200K miles, then gave it to my second ex-wife
