Before and after Custom II- did the upgrades

Here's the before picture:

I changed the grip, added a stainless mainspring housing, slide stop, and ambi safety.

All the parts dropped right in. Smith and Alexander MSH, Kimber Ambi Safety and Kimber slide stop. If anyone is nervous about doing the safety mod, don't be- it's easy and just takes a few minutes.
MPO Southy and OscarZ like this.

You just turned an ugly duckling into a beautiful swan. Nice work Jeff, it's amazing how just a few simple changes can make such a big difference.

Different strokes for different folks, there Chuck. Personally, I think I would have swapped out the trigger to a 3-hole BLACK, then change the grips to a G10 black/gray. But, hey, it's still a good looking gun.

I still have some new grips coming. I ordered a set of the Raasco Dymondwood charcoal and blue grips. I plan to put them on another gun, but you never know. I do like the way this one looks. I have a real problem with grips- I like to change them around. I have more grips than guns. I guess I need an intervention. Or more guns.

I do like black triggers as well. The gun I'm picking up on Sunday is virtually all black with the exception of the chamber, inner barrel and grip medallions. Kind of sinister looking.

You know, I've never changed grips on any of my guns. I've removed them many times, never changed. Go figure.
