What's In Your Bag?

I was loading some magazines while watching the NASCAR race and getting my range bag packed to go shooting on Tuesday. It got me to wondering what everyone else takes with them. Here's what I'm packing for this trip.

1 or 2 .45 1911's

1 - 9mm 1911
1 - .380 Sig
1 - .22 Kimber slide
13 - .45 magazines loaded
12 - 9mm magazines loaded
5 - .380 magazines loaded
4 - .22 magazines loaded
3 or 4 small rags

small Otis cleaning kit
small tube lubricant
small first aid kit
small tool kit
Electronic ear muffs
Foam ear plugs
Extra ammo: 2 boxes ea .45, 9mm, .380 and .22

That's about an average load, the guns will vary I may have a .357, .41 or .44 thrown in there but I usually have at least 3 or 4 guns.

So what's in your bag?

The club I shoot at is about twenty miles away. Not a big deal.

2-3 pistols
mags (unloaded)
2-3 rags or towels
gun multi-tool
ammo - usu 100-150 rounds per pistol
take down tools (if Kimbers are present)
foam ear plugs
electronic hearing protection
safety glasses
smart phone for target photos

Our current range is 16 miles away (45 min drive with traffic). They're in the process of building a new location that will be about 3 miles from the house. That will be MUCH nicer!

My Indoor Club is between my house and the office. 1.5 miles from the office and 2.5 miles from the house. Makes for a nice lunch trip to the range. The outdoor range is a good 40 minutes so I pack differently for each.

For my lunch trips to the indoor range I generally take the following:

2 pistols/revolvers
4 to 5 magazines unloaded
2 rags
electronic ears
safety glasses
100ish rounds for each gun (remember its only a lunch trip)
multi tool
owners manual for each gun (I have no idea why, just a habit)
note pad to take notes so I can update my shooting log
Spare batteries for my ear protection
Carry permit just in case I want to walk out with a new gun (you never know)

trips to the outdoor range:

Everything but the kitchen sink.
