New CDPii On the Way

I DECIDED TO GO FOR IT AND MADE MY LAST 4 PAYMENTS FOR MY NEW KIMBER EARLY. Now I will have it in about 2 weeks. Shipping time plus 10 day D.O.J. holding period.
Now I godda hurry up and decide on mt first ammo. That will be Gold Dot, if I can find any.

I'm glad to hear you decided to go with the CDP II, I've got a Ultra CDP II and it's one of my favorite Kimbers.

Atta boy WildBill! In a few days at least some of your worries will be over.
I will go out on a limb and say you will love your new Kimber!

Yes, I do live in CA. Used to live NY. My FFL tells me that NY is even worse now for gun owners. Why do I believe that? Actually, if you live in an affluent area of NY, getting a permit is easy. But try getting one if you live where the working people live.
Range Report? Is that like an ER report after I shoot my toe off? KNOCK ON WOOD!!!!!!

Great guns! Congrats. I have one in my hand at a LGS and it screamed "quality".

We're mostly interested in how your first outing with the new CDP II goes. Remember to break the gun down and clean and lube it before making that first range trip. Use 230 gr. FMJ ammo for the break in, doing all this will go a long way toward preventing any potential problems. I don't know which model CDP II you're getting, the ultra, pro or custom but you can download a copy of the owners manual on the Kimber website and read up on it before you get the gun.

Chuck beat me to it on the advice, I have a CDP II pro and love it .It is also my daily carry, I would not try hollow points in it until I had run a couple of hundred round points through it making sure to keep it clean and lubed.
