Target 1911

I would like to look into getting a 5" 1911 strictly for target shooting. Something like a Colt gold cup to take to the range with my s&w model 41. What models would you guys suggest? Definitely something with a lightweight target trigger.

Several Kimber's fit that niche Team Match, Gold Match (Blue), Stainless Gold Match, Super Jagare, Custom Target, Stainless Target, Eclipse Target, not sure if that is all but should get you started.

Depends on how much you want to spend?

The best factory trigger out of the box and most accurate pistol I own out of ALL of them is my Gold Combat Limited Edition.
Pictured with Ivory grips. It does not have adjustable sights, just three dot night sights.

Should not be a problem to be under 1500 for a smart shopper as long as you stay away from Bass Pro Shop, Cabela's, places like that won't have "deals" and will be priced at MSRP or more.
