Night sights, ambidextrous thumb safety and 30-lines-per-inch checkering on the front strap and under the trigger guard. Match grade barrel, stainless steel slide and double diamond rosewood grips.

That's all nice but I don't think I care for the ambi-safety. Just don't see a need for one on the right side (of course, I shoot right handed).

All my carry guns have ambi safeties and I practice weak hand shooting, you never know what's going to happen.

Mmm, I don't use the ambi safeties that much at the range but it don't bother me that they are on the pistol.

I'm thinking that having the safety on just one side, along with thinner grip panels, will make the package easier to conceal, less visible under my shirt.

Am I wrong? Admittedly, I have never carried anything on a 1911 platform.
