Kimber pro carry 2 questions.

So at the range today with a load I have had success with, I was having issues with cycling. I have carried this firearm for six months without cleaning. Has anyone had cycling issues with the 1911 platform when no cleaned but carried, not shot, for six months?

Welcome to the forum from Ohio!! Short answer....Yes. Is the gun new? How many rounds threw your "dirty" gun? It can take some experimentation with handloads to get one that works well with a particular gun.

Welcome to the forum from northern Illinois. The longest I've ever gone without cleaning my carry gun would be 3 weeks. The amount of dust and lint they can pick up is amazing. Honestly I would expect a carry gun that hasn't been cleaned in 6 months to have problems cycling.

Welcome to the forum from Northern Illinois. You may have found the one forum with the most anal-retentive group of members. I am going to be shocked if there are too many folks that do not carry/clean regularly on here. Longest my carry weapon as gone without cleaning is maybe 1 month, and that was because I was out of the country for 2-3 weeks of that period.
