Finally Have My Gun

Hello to All
I just brought home my first Kimber.(Ultra+CDP) Sure looks better than my Glock 20. I will get a professional to give it its first cleaning/oiling. As far as pictures are concerned, I am a very serious photography researcher (I make my own film) and I do not own a digital camera. So pictures must wait until I get my film out, then take and develop my photos. But they will come.

Congrats on the new Kimber...
Maybe a good idea to watch the first time to learn the basics of cleaning and lubing but eventually you will love doing it yourself..
Once you break it down, you will see how easy it is and enjoy getting it dirty at the range and coming home to give it a good Hoppes bath.....
Enjoy and looking forward to the pics..

Just holding it is a better experience than a glock 20!. Feels like it was made to be held in a human hand. The .45acp round that I have the most of is 230 grain Winchester FMJ. Dose anyone see a problem with using these for the first 100 rounds? Then switching to a few other .45acp rounds?

The Winchester rounds should be fine. Read our owners manual and follow the break in instructions and you should't have any problems. We will be looking forward to your range report.

Congrats!Winchester 230 FMJ is alright to use, that's what I broke my Kimber in with.Once you learn to clean and lube it you'll find it to be a pleasant task, but not as much fun as shooting it.Good luck!
