Not Your Normal Idiot Scratch

On close examination of my gun during a cleaning, post first 100 rounds, I see very fine scratches near the base of the thumb safety, only on the left side. I am wondering if I should do anything. Or if there is anything I can do.

A picture would really help in this case, the scratch doesn't sound like anything worth worrying about but again a picture would really help.

I really don't understand why it's called an "idiot scratch" when I swear she was yelling "You stupid mudder fudger"...
That's what I have called it since then..
