New Plinker

Picked up a Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22 for some plinking action today

The AR type rifles never interested me that much, but found this via a local gun site for a really great price so I jumped on it. Came with all the magazines shown in the picture.

Very nice, S&W makes some nice AR's. I could see myself coming home with one at some point.

Looks like a nice deal, I know nothing about AR's. No place anywhere near me to shoot one so I never got into them.

Did you know that an AR 556 round will penetrate less drywall than
a 45 or a 9 mm? Making it an awesome home defense fire arm.

Best home defense gun ever, AR pistol, 5.56 with a 10.5" barrel and Sig Brace. Throw on a Red Dot and Laser and their you go. ( and yes you can shoulder the brace) No SBR, No Tax Stamp. Nice close quarters weapon.

P.S if preferred throw an extra 300 Blackout barrel in the mix.

The M&P 22 is a sweet little rifle, my buddy has one. Nice little shooter you have there.

I took an intro to the AR-15 class with my husband & daughter. It wasn't something I really cared about doing but since we own a couple of them my husband wanted to be sure that we knew how to use them. It was the most fun gun class I have ever taken. I couldn't believe how much I loved shooting that thing! Definitely got my adrenaline pumping! Hope you enjoy yours, have fun and good luck with it!

It will certainly be a learning experience for me. I only own one other 22 rifle that I've had for about 45 yrs..... a Ted Williams (bought from Sears) automatic that shoots short and Long Rifle ammo. I was looking hard at the Ruger 10-22 Takedown Lite rifle when I came across this one. Seems to be a wealth of accessories available.

I will keep this gun handy in case those dang wild hogs decide to come back to the Lakehouse and tear up the yard 👍

Chuck, a lot of indoor ranges will allow you to shoot a 22 rifle in the pistol bays.
