New Kimber Owner

Hey folks. New Kimber owner here. Picked up the Kimber Micro Carry 380. Plan to take it to the range tomorrow. Was originally looking at the Micro 9, but ended up with this. This will be my "Hop in the car and run" pocket carry. Anything I need to know? Attached is a photo of this beautiful girl.

Welcome to the forum from northern Illinois Vudewman and congratulations on the new Micro Carry. Clean and lube the gun before making that first range trip and let us know how it goes. How about stopping by our "New Member Introduction" sub forum and introducing yourself to the membership?

Welcome from a Middle Tennessean. Great Forum here...as was mentioned above, clean and lube well. Also, what type of ammo are you going to use? My wife's Kimber likes the American Eagle brand.

Take it apart give it a good cleaning, then oil up the frame rails , guide rod, barrel, and the part of the hammer that contacts the slide, then rack the slide by hand a couple hundred times to help break it in. You should notice the slide will seem smoother and easier to rack after you've run it a couple hundred times. Then take it apart again, clean and oil it again, take it to the range and break it in some more.
