I've been thinking about getting a Ruger, either a new 22/45 or the SR22.

I had an original 22/45, and shot the thing until it rattled. I'm having seller's remorse.

Mark III, Ruger 22/25, Ruger Single Six, Browning Buckmark- all great plinkers and lots of fun to shoot.

Cool My 2 Cents Worth!!

If you are going to having the kids use it, I suggest that you check out the new Smith and Wesson M&P 22 compact. I think it would be just about the right size for kids to learn marksmanship.

I picked up the sw compact 22 a couple months ago. My wife loves shooting it. Very easy to use and much more accurate than I thought it would be. Been to range twice and no problems what so ever.

it ends up that we here in California are running out of options. No more Ruger Mark anything. I was able to purchase a Browning Bush Mark. Happy with the decision. Get to pick it up this Mon. Ca is getting harder and harder to purchase handguns. We can buy them used all day long, but they are hard to find. Buy them while u can.
