Looking for Kimber info

Ok so new to the group. Don't own a Kimber right now but do love the looks and reviews of them. . I'm exploring buying a ccw. I'm looking for a steel framed , external hammer ,and double action 9mm. Does Kimber make such? Any help is greatly appreciated .

Welcome to the forum from northern Illinois IraV. Kimber makes both steel and aluminum framed guns in 9mm but they are all single action. How about stopping by our "New Member Introduction" sub forum and introducing yourself to the membership?

IraV, Welcome to the forum from Northern Illinois. As Chuck mentioned, with Kimber, you are at the head of the single-action class. Lot's of options as long as you don't want DA.

IraV: Perhaps you could explain to us why you feel a double action 9mm is preferred over a single action?

Just curious, as I'm of the belief that the 1911 single action auto is the best example of a fighting pistol ever designed. It would be interesting to hear your views.
