Cure for seller's remorse

To make a long story short, I traded my Kimber Pro Raptor II for a couple of sweet Sigs about 6 months age and, though I enjoy my Sigs, I really miss my Kimber. I had used it in IDPA and had all the goodies to my liking, and just got to where I never shot it much...

So today I was at one of my favorite gun shops browsing as usual and lo and behold! There was my Kimber just lying there. At first I was a little skeptical it was mine, then picked it up...there were the Zebra Operator II grips, S&A arched magwell, and the small scratch I put on it putting the slide stop in when I first got it. The price was set at $1000, and I'm about to shame myself into paying its ransom Monday. Call me a fool, but I'm pretty sure it's coming back home with me.

Anybody else ever experience a similar brain fart?

I haven't sold a gun, yet, so I can't say I've experienced that specifically. I have had similar experiences where something was just meant to be. Seems to me that you were meant to find your old Raptor again.

I think you should buy it before someone else does. Otherwise you'll surely regret it even more than selling it.

Wink Been There---Done That!!

Oh hell yes I have sold and traded off guns that I really kick myself in the butt for getting rid of. I have been a "horse trader" for almost 40 years. I have a very long and distinguished list of guns that have gotten away from me. I kicked myself in the butt each time.

Trust me, it hurts bad when you have to twist around fast enough to kick yourself in the butt!!! (It is a specialized technique taught by my Tang Soo Do karate instructor.) The turning and the kick both hurt like hell. For some silly reason, I just kept doing it. It's a wonder that I ain't crippled as a result of it!!!!

And yes, I once bought back a Ruger .44 magnum Super Blackhawk. As my Daddy told me on many occasions as I was growing up, "If you're gonna be stupid.......you gotta be tough!!!"

I think I may have finally learned!!! Only time will tell!!!

Just consider the $1,000 the price of two sigs. That raptor needs to go home.

I wonder what the dealer paid for it?

This is fate. That pistol is like a good dog that crosses several states to find you again. Buy it, and give it a good home again.
