Photobucket

I just got an email from photobucket informing me that if I want to continue to post any of my own photos on a forum (3rd party), I must pay these thieves the sum of $400 a year!

So my collection of over 1,000 firearm pics stored there for years is now locked up unless I pony up almost half a grand a year to these morons!

Anyone have any suggestions for other photo sharing sites that do not charge a ridiculous fee for the privilege?

I've been using photobucket for years and never heard of anything like that. Are you sure your account hasn't been hi-jacked?

I just Googled it and everybody from guns to boats to tractors owners are complaining about it...

I keep mine stored in a few places that doesn't charge yet.

Nope, not a hijack. I went directly to their site and read the "new terms of service" that clearly states that if you want to post pics on forums, you now must pay this ridiculous fee. As Marshall has already noted, it's not just me. Every photo I've ever posted on any forum is now gone, and an icon now appears saying the service has been suspended till I pony up....which will never come.

This may be the end of photobucket, as I just can't imagine anyone actually agreeing to pay hundreds every year for the "privilege" of pic posting.

Any suggestions for photo hosting, as I'm done forever with PB.

Yup, I have/had the same problem. All of the pictures already posted on other forums turned into "gauges."

There's a mob of haters burning up 'net.

Guess I'll be sending an email with a lot of bad words in it to them.

I don't know how to post pictures but can't you take a pic with a phone or camera and download it on your computer and then onto the forum? That's the way I've done it in the past when selling something online. But since switching to Windows 10 I haven't figured out how to do it, everything works different it seems.
