Hey all. Name's Mark. Just wanted to say hello from central KY with my first post. Earlier this year I finally stopped saying "man I wish I had a Kimber", manned up, and bought a CDP Ultra II. Prior to that, I only had a little female Shih Tzu who we named Kimber, (my wife and I like gun names for dogs, Remington, Tika, etc.. coincidentally, her name matches her temperament... but this is a gun forum. Digressing.)
Over the years, I've owned several pistols. I had settled on the M&Ps, having a full size .40 and a Shield 9mm. Something about the ergonomics on the Smiths just works for me. I even have a Citadel 1911 clone, which after much trial and error, I've grown to hate. Just a dud. Feed issues. Extraction issues. I've written it off. That left me wanting a real 1911 even more.
Bought the CDP. Took it out to the range. And bam. I shoot it like I've owned it for years. After a couple of trial and error holsters, I settled on the N82 professional. Just stupid all day comfortable for EDC.
... and then I caught wind of this Micro 9 business. Yup. Had to have one, and just so happened I just got paid out for 120 hours of unused vacation time. Again with the range time. I won't say it was as easy as pie like with the .45, but several boxes later, I'm on par with everything else. Biggest challenge are my monkey paws. This pistol's tiny! And I love it. And again, bought the N82 pro holster.. and again.. just dumb comfortable. The micro is now my EDC. Literally can forget that I'm wearing it.
Here's a picture of the kids...
