Considering Buying A Micro 9 For Every Day Carry

The more I look at the Micro 9's, the more I'm considering buying one for EDC. Any users that can give me their thoughts. Which model and do you carry cocked and locked?

I have the basic Micro 9 Two Tone and would agree that the laser might be a nice addition but it is not a requirement. I also have an M&P Shield and much prefer the contours and size of the M9 for EDC. And yes, cocked and locked.

If you watch the nuntfancy review of the M9 he says it is a really good gun but you might have to send it back to Kimber to get it running exactly right. I would say that is definitely a possibility. I have been working my gun pretty hard to get it completely reliable and I think it is almost there. I also believe I started using hollow points too early and that might have been the cause of my frustration. Take the solid advice of many people here and run a steady diet of FMJ 147gr ammo for the first 300-400 rounds and then try your preferred carry load.

Cool Hmmmmmmmmm?

I thought that after the go around with your Eclipse Target II back in February, that it was the......
"first and last Kimber product I'll ever buy".

Glad to see you have re-assessed and decided to give Kimber another chance and stick with us Kimber fanatics!!!!!

Let us know how the search for the Micro 9 goes. Of course, we would like to see pictures when you do get you next Kimber!!

I have the basic model that I use for concealed carry. It was good right out of the box, and it has had a steady diet of over 600 rounds of 115 gr. ammo. No problems, and I do carry cocked and locked. Good luck with which ever model you choose.

Micro9 Raptor. The additional embellishments are not only cosmetic but functional - on a small gun like this, you really need some extra grip on the front strap. That, and the nite sights, are well worth the extra. I have one of the first to come off the line (look to my posts from the October '16 timeframe) and it's been flawless with everything from HST to CriticalDuty.

If your going to EDC and not be in condition 1 you may as well carry a Louisville Slugger.

Been carrying my CDP Micro 9 daily for a few months now, in a N82 pro holster. No issues whatsoever. Cocked n' locked.

EDC - Micro9 stainless, one in the tube, hammer to the rear with the safety engaged, six in the mag, two spare mags and use a custom leather shoulder holster. It works well for me me. Good Luck!
