Born under a lucky Star?

I do not know why or how but in the last couple of years I have called Kimber Customer service a have dozen or more times to get questions answered. I have not had to send any in for service. That being said. I have never waited over 3 or 4 minutes on hold and I think it is perfectly acceptable. Maybe they just like me. I did find out my last purchase will cost me roughly 150.00 if I want the frame refinished. I also asked them if the Solo I purchased used had ever been back to the mother ship and the answer was no it had not been back. I mention this because my Solo runs fine and I was curious if had initially gone back like some Solos did.

Anyway just thought I would share that. Thank you Kimber Customer service great work.

Any chance you're Irish? A relative of Marshall?

Their customer service is outstanding. During the holiday season wait times can get long, but that's what speaker mode is for while you putz around doing other things. When I called about my M9 in June, it took less than 2 minutes to speak with a rep, and even though they tell you that repair times are 6-8 weeks, I've gotten my M380 and M9 back in 3-4 1/2 weeks max. They are very good about responding to email too and answering questions. Good service.

I think they do a really good job. The only times I've waited a really long time in the limbo phone que was last year during the Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks. I think at that time they had a high amount of Solo and Micro calls. Once on the phone they took care of me.

Unless you just want a factory refinish, there may be a certified Cerakoter close to you. I found one about 20 miles from my house and the price was about 150 for the whole pistol and I saved on shipping.

Arland thank you for the information I am in the process pricing everything I am thinking about doing. I want to find out if Cerakote is a harder finish than anodizing. Anodizing comes in a lot colors these days. So far from what I have been seeing is Hard chrome is the hardest finish available. I don't think I want a shiny Gat though at least not that shiny. Tom, Cerakote has a lot of colors also but I don't know if it is harder than anodizing. My Detonics came out a little brighter silver than I expected but I'm cool with it.

Yes, I'm happy with it. It came out a little lighter silver than the sample I saw but not enough of a difference to have it changed.
This Detonics had traveled many miles with me and seen a lot of concealed carry before it was popular or even legal. I like it's new look.
