Bummed about Kimber custom shop. Hope they make it right

Last month I sent my Classic Stainless back to Kimber for 30 LPI front strap checkering and a 3.5lb trigger job. Today I got it back and was disappointed that they replaced the original Chip McCormick trigger with a standard black 3 hole one. Granted the trigger is butter smooth but I liked the looks of the original one better. I had no idea they were going to replace the whole trigger just to lighten the pull. I also told the rep last month not to replace my trigger because it is an early style and some new employee might not think its factory. Well when I called Kimber to express my concern they basically said I wasn't charged for the new trigger and they will look into it.....I hope they will make good on this. Granted I know its just cosmetic but I think these early triggers are just a classic look that I always loved

Read stories like your before.
You would think Kimber would seek your approval...first.

Sport/Marshall....I don't post personal gun pictures on KT or any site, for any reason. Never have/never will. Taking IP risk is for those that choose to do so, I don't.

If you have a problem with that, choose a orifice.
End of subject.

I believe it was Chuck that has said many times that if you have to return one to the mothership to put all factory parts back on because they will return it to the original parts and charge ya for it..
Now I know that's correct...
{Like I had any doubt}

Yes I know BUT the original McCormick trigger IS factory original and VERY desirable....

Yes that was what I said but I was referring to aftermarket parts that you've added to your gun. As an example if you installed a Wilson Combat extended slide stop remove it and put the original back in for the trip back to the motherland.

They sent my Custom Pro CDP II back to me with the Wolff recoil spring still installed. They didn't replace it.

Kimber doesn't make recoil springs they buy them and I've been told they get them from Wolff.

Looks like they sent the original back so that's a plus sort of.
Maybe they had some issues with it to do the trigger job properly?
