Solo slide return

I have to send my solo slide back to limber because the front sight is dim. Should you insure it and for how much. I had a gunsmith install them and told limber that. They said they will issue a rm ,but they have to inspect the sights to see if they were damaged on install.. There are no. Marks on sight at all, just a very dim front. Any thoughts on this, thanks

That's an interesting question that I hadn't considered when I sent back my M380 and M9 to Kimber, total of 3 trips. I just used the RMA and it was fine, no problem going or on return.
