Exclamation Magazine Question

Just purchased my Kimber yesterday!! I chose the Ultra Crimson Carry II.

Can't wait to get to the range.... Before I do I would like to get another magazine for it. Looking for something with a "pinky extension"

Any info would be helpful!

Welcome to the forum from northern Illinois Grandslm247 and congratulations on the new Ultra Crimson Carry II. I don't know of any 1911 magazines that come with a pinky extension but you could buy an X-Grip magazine adapter and install it on your magazine.

Just out of curiosity any brand of magazine you recommend? I tend to you use manufacturers normally but I've noticed in readying through On my way! over threads that other brand are popular too...

I have Wilson Combat and Chip McCormick mags. I run more McCormick's than Wilson. Both manufactures have bump plates that can sort of serve as a pinky extension.

I like Kimbers Kimpro Tac-Mags, I've got over 20 and have never had a problem with any of them.

Same here, I tend to have a good mix of these two.

I completely forgot about the Tac-Mags, I do have a few of these as well. They work awesome. Value wise in my parts, Wilson, Kimber Tag-Mag, Chip. In order from most expensive to cheapest.

I've got some of the seven round full-size length Wilson Rogers magazines with the floor-plate. Do they make an extension that fits that model for use in a UC2?
