Texas

I will be praying for you Texans in the path of the storm! Please be smart and move out temporarily if asked. Your life is worth more than material things. Of course grab your favorite Kimbers and packem with you!

Good luck to our brothers living there. Cat 3's and more are pretty scary.

We appreciate it, y'all!

Growing up on the Texas Gulf Coast, I've seen my share of hurricanes & tropical storms. All you can do is hunker down.

As an avid fly fisherman, I have many fishing buddies along the coast. I'm a bit concerned about a friend's fly fishing shop right on the bay in Rockport. Also have friends in Fulton, Port O'Connor, Sargent and Victoria. Most have headed inland as we are all familiar with the drill. I just hope they don't lose their homes & businesses.

I'm about 140 miles from the center and we are still getting heavy wind and rain. The storm is supposed to turn and head up the coast towards us. They're expecting 20"-30" of rain in our area. Winds around 25-30 with gusts to 40+. The real worry right now is we are having tornado warnings all around us. Lights have flickered a time or two. Dunno when we'll lose power. Hope we don't lose water as well.

It's gonna be a long weekend.......

Hey Longhorn !
Was just thinking about you as the local news was showing storms bearing down on your area. I too have many friends down the coast that are most likely getting hammered. Stay safe buddy !!

We are hunkered down and hopefully only see a major event here but the forecasted track over next few days is all over the place b

Growing up I spent a month in Corpus Christie every summer for most of my childhood visiting my grandfather and still have family living there.

Praying for the best outcome for our Texas members.

Appreciate it Tejun!

I'm not terribly worried (yet). I have friends further down 59 who are in a whole lot worse predicament than we are. I'm more worried for them.

Damned emergency warning just went off again. Better see what's up....
