Just a pet peeve!

Kimber produces the Micro .380 and also produces the Kimber Micro 9.

A lot of Kimber owners are referring to the Kimber Micro 9 as the M9 it is not a M9 they are built by Beretta!

I'm guilty of that, but it's just a matter of abbreviating, I use M380 too. Hands up, don't shoot!

And then there was the Marshall 9

I remember calling it that back when I bought the Micro 9 and if you scroll down to post # 22 and #23 a couple of members corrected me on that including yourself and I had to edit the first comment of that thread.

I feel your pain because when somebody says clip instead of magazine it's like fingernails on a chalkboard...

I have to agree with you on calling magazines clips, makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up on end.

The difference between clips and magazines is the presence of a feed mechanism in a magazine, typically a spring-loaded follower, which a clip lacks.

I think I might have made the M9 mistake but I just assume since I'm on a Kimber forum that is what I'm talking about.

Chalk it up to lazy, too. Abbreviations, yeah, that's what it is, abbreviations.

Guilty as charged myself

Pretty much for same reasons others have mentioned.... being on Kimber site and abbreviation (especially when posting on my dang i-phone)

And don't get me started on companies that offer a sale along with free shipping..

If the ad says "sale" & "free shipping" you just need to figure out that everybody and their brother is going to be ordering and the normal shipping time is"NOT"to be expected.

Maybe those companies need to put a disclaimer at the bottom of the product order page that states.....

" If you waited too long to order our product and you're close to running out it sucks to be you"......

I too have referred to the Micro 9 as a M9 just to abbreviate it. I will try in the future to stop my bad behavior.

I totally agree with you. But since I do not own a Micro 380 or a Micro 9, I have kept that particular opinion to myself.
