Range report - sigh....

Today I took my brand new Raptor, my Ultra CC, my Micro 9 and my Sig Extreme to the range today.

Raptor/Ultra=.45 cal.
Micro 9/Sig=9mm

I sucked the most with the Micro 9. Barely could hit the target, lol.

Upper left was the Ultra, upper right was the Raptor, bottom right was the Micro (lol) and bottom left was the Sig.

Here's everything back on the bench ready to be cleaned.

The good news....NO FT-anything with all of the guns.

Ran 4 (3X brand new Kimber) mags through each .45. I varied the ammo between Magtech and Blazer Brass.

Same with the 9s. I had a perfect day with extractions. Other than several that landed on my head and a couple in the front shirt pocket.

All good in the big picture.

Now for the "other" news I hadn't expected.

I came home with something else.

I found out that they will allow me to shoot .223 at the range if I use their ammo. I'm so good with that....well you know the rest.

They gave me a box of ammo included and I bought another.

I also got 3 used military surplus 30 rd mags for $7 each.

So this will ensure I'm not buying any more Micro 9s for a while.

Funny thing as I was checking out, another customer was there picking up a Kimber Micro 9 Raptor. I had to butt in and congratulate them as well and tell them they made a very good choice.

Gawd I love hating my LGS. They smile every time I walk through the door.

Marshall, I completely understand how you succumbed to the urge to get the Micro 9. I totally get it, got it, will continue to get it and keep getting it.

I need another safe now. Sheesh. 2 isn't enough. lol

Nice shooting Bish, remember the odds are if you have to use that Micro 9 you're going to up close and point shooting.

Thank you.

I usually do better with it. But this time was with the new grips. Maybe a bit of adjustment to them is needed?

I didn't notice any negative aspects with the Ultra since I changed out those, too.

The sig also performed very well even with the new grips.

I'm really overall very happy with the results. Especially the Raptor. What a beautiful gun to look at and fire. My first full size 1911 and .45 .

Special day for me for sure.

Thank you, sir.

It makes another trip inevitable, for sure!

But, you knew that already.

Great shooting.....I usually take four pistols to the range. I have can do better with my wife's Kimber Micro Carry 380. Each pistol I shoot has a different trigger pull which affects me when I try to be accurate.
