Range Report & Jam Clearing Education

Lane 9, Trigger Time Indoor Range, Flowery Springs, GA
100 Rounds America Eagle, 124Gr. FMJ
100 Rounds (Almost) America Eagle, 147 Gr. FMJ

One FTE with the 124Gr. using Kimber Mag and WC Tactical Elite.

First mag of 147Gr.
About 3 round, no trigger pull, no hammer contact. Couldn't operate the slide. Released mag. Nothing up the well. Still no trigger pull or hammer contact. Couldn't manual release hammer. Firearm pointed down range at all times.

First time this has every happened to me with numerous firearms.

Laid the firearm down on the bench and went to look for Range Master for help. He came and saying he would not scratch my firearm pressed the recoil guide plug against the wooden rail on the bench. Slide pushed back and ejected round. He suggested it might be out of spec. Happened 5 more times from that 50 round box. I cleared those using same process. No issues with second box of 50. 1st picture is from 7 yards, 2nd 10 yards and 3rd 15 yards. Single head shot on each is intentional. 4th picture shows what looks like a brass rim from a round on the bench. 5th is of PC II all cleaned up and ready for another adventure.

That was some outstanding shooting and a great range report! Hope your weapon settles down and your confidence grows in its performance. You certainly don't need any help with sight alignment and sight picture. I think you have that one down!

Call up Federal and tell them what happened. They'll probably ask you to send in the remainder, and then they will send you some more.
