WC Flat Wire Upgrade

I bit the bullet and upgraded my Pro Carry II with the WC Flat Wire. Upgrade was a breeze. I love the feel and the takedown ease. Need to get it to the range.

While at the local gun show this passed Saturday I looked for a WC spring for my Kimber Pro Carry II. One vendor I was talking to said Wilson doesn't make springs they are bought from Wolff. Does anyone know if this is true or not?

This was 3 years ago, but if you scroll down to comment #8 you will read what the WC rep said...

The guide rod that comes with the kit seems to be a an improvement too. If I'm remembering correctly it's advertised as being one solid piece as opposed to the two bonded pieces the stock part is constructed of. Does that really translate into it being a better part? Not sure, it does sound good though and they do have cleaner cut edges.

The guide rod that comes in the WC Pro size is a smaller diameter in order to a flat wire spring as apposed to the twisted wire. The inside diameter of the flat wire spring is smaller. I have never broken a guide rod so as far as better parts go I probably would still stay yes because Wilson advertises bullet proof all the time when it comes to their parts. I do like their quality never had a problem with their parts.

With all the good things I keep hearing about those flat springs I sure wish they made them for Ultra’s.
