Micro 380

I'm on a replaced micro 380 because of fail to battery. I can't find ammo that will perform. Any ideas? Is it a design issue? How can I get two lemons in a row?

Mine just came back and is flawless now. It eats everything. My go to on the range is Blazer Brass but my duty ammo is Fiocchi XTP HP.

We have two Micro 380 and use Freedom Munitions Ammo with no issues. Give it a try.

Mine likes Fiocchi 95gr FMJ, American Eagle 95gr FMJ, Gecko 95gr FMJ and Aguilla 95gr FMJ for the range. Fiocchi and Hornady 90gr XTP have both run flawlessly. Sportmans Guide usually has them all in stock for a great price and often offers free shipping. I'm around 2k round count wise and this pistol was sent in for a tune up at about the 600 round mark. This was prior to the flat wire recoil set up came out. The old set up WAS a flaw.
Keep in mind that although Kimber says there's not a break in period, there is. I think 400 rounds is a fair number. Several of the faithful here have advocated using a compound to expedite the process. Flix or toothpaste on the rails and manually cycle it several hundred times. Basically just sit there cycling it like a mental patient for an hour or so :-) I'd go ahead and polish the feed ramp while you're at it too. I use the "shine" area of a foam core nail file, kinda channeling "Rainman", it looks to be about 800 grit and contours just right. Shines that ramp up nice :-)
I hope she breaks in for you and things go better next time out, good luck.

Mine likes the Aguilla, Remington UMC, and Fiocchi and the Hornady XTP. I had a break in period of about 600 rounds, I think some was me being so new to guns and shooting. My husband polished the feed ramp and I cycled it like a mad woman for bit in the beginning too. I learned to just be patient and that .380 will eat those rounds in no time!

If the gun fails on multiple makes of ammo, then searching for new ammo will not resolve the overall problem. It's the gun.

I had the same issue. The gun was about a year old when I contacted Kimber. They sent me the new style spring and rod and it seems to have fixed the problem. New spring is much longer and rod has a notch in the rear.

Mine would fail about 2 out of 5 rounds. Now no failures at all.

Good luck. I'm sure your new gun will be fine.
