Best upgrade

Hello everyone. I know I am brand new, but I have done some research and am looking for some input. I would like to know your suggestions on the best upgrade for my new PC ii. I'm thinking Night sights, but do not know which ones to go with. Later I will upgrade the grips and at some point would like to go with a WC commander size guide rod.

Thanks everyone. I looked for this subject, but could not find anything specific.

Any upgrade that keeps you happy with your PC II is the 'Best Upgrade'.

Some folks say a PC is perfect 'as is' for Kimber ownership.

Kimber's that come with night sights have Meprolights but I've installed many Trijicons. There are several grip makers out there. I have VZ's and Raacso grips on a few of my handguns.

Great ideas and information. I do think it's perfect, but think a carry weapon should have at a minimum, night sights. I've seen a few PC ii's on here that are over the top. If I wanted a custom shop pistol, I would have purchase one, so just trying to make this the best possible carry pistol possible without breaking the bank.

Again, great suggestions.....thanks a million.

Tru Glo sights and Derwood MFG grips...can't go wrong and won't break the bank. And the WC Flatwire spring kit. Now that's awesome!

Cool Here Ya Go!!!

I gave you a quick shot of the mods made to my Pro Carry II on your initial post. Here is where you can find the items I used. My PC2 has Trijicon Bright and Tough Night Sights (Trijicon Night Sight Set Kimber 1911 Steel Matte 3-Dot Tritium Green), Hogue Blue Lava G-10 grips (Hogue Inc.) and an Ed Brown Snakeskin mainspring housing (Ed Brown Mainspring Housing Flat 1911 Government Commander Snakeskin).

Here are a few more pictures. Enjoy!! You can search for other parts at those sites also!!! Don't worry, it just takes MONEY!!!

The PC II is pretty near perfect. Having said that, night sights, checkered front strap (30 LPI) and the WC Spring kit is the 'icing on the cake' for me. I don't get all worked up over different colored panels, though smaller hands may prefer a thinner panel. YMMV.

Wink Oops!!

RE: My PC2! John's post just reminded me that my PC2 also has a Wilson Combat Flat Wire Recoil Spring Kit!! This makes disassembly without the cute little L shaped tool a snap. It also lasts 10 times longer than the original equipment recoil spring!! How could I have forgotten this??? DUH!!!

You can find the flat wire spring at MidwayUSA. Use URL:

New grips coming from zoomeybaby and I'm going to order some mepro's. The wc flat wire spring kit will come soon as well. All before I even get to shoot it. I have already purchased 400 rounds of 230 gn. FMJ to break it in. Thanks for all the suggestions.
