Apologies to Kimber Talk

Having been cast into cold, dark, lonely Pit of Misery, two weeks ago, I am now free at last. I would like to make my most sincere apology to everyone at Kimber Talk for my comments. Let me assure all that I would NEVER intentionally insult anyone here. Since joining this forum last summer I have been met with nothing but friendship and generous "likes" to my posts and pics.

In my lame defense, I was left unsupervised and often my full-auto fingers out run my semi-auto brain. My comments were meant to reflect my own personal values and standards and not intended to sit in judgement of others. In the issue of typing communications I have a long history. In the Navy, after a bad knee injury, I was unable to walk and the military allows no one to sit around. Once they found out I could type, I was assigned to the base hospital typing medical forms and reports. Thousands of them ... for many weeks before being medically discharged. My work there was heavily scrutinized and monitored for accuracy by officers and doctors ... constantly.

When I retired in '13, I was the Internet Sales Manager / Photographer for a local Subaru dealership where I composed dozens of emails daily in reply to customer questions. Again all of my communications were reviewed for content and accuracy. Post a wrong price or leave out a decimal point would be grounds for dismissal. And rightfully so ... this is what they paid me for ... right?

I take full responsibility for comments and poor choice of words. In the future I promise to keep my opinions to myself, choose my words more carefully and restrict my posts and comments to subjects of Kimbers, range time, gun shows and shooting in general. I will do better.

Again I apologize to all the members, moderators and visitors of Kimber Talk Forums and anyone who felt offended or insulted in any way by my comments.

I now cast myself to hard labor of my work bench. I have a trigger job to finish, two sets of sights to install and two custom rifles builds that I want to finish by Christmas.

I hope everyone at KT has a wonderful and safe holiday season. My wish that everyone finds a new Kimber in their stocking and case of ammo under the tree.

Sincerely, Paul Strickland ... aka, PaulWVa

Paul,

We all have those moments from time to time and they can manifest themselves in various forms, whether on a forum such as this, at work, on a highway stuck in traffic or at home with family. Glad to have you back and look forward to your input and insights on KT.

Paul, we all do things without thinking.

I hung with a rough crowd, I saw a biker buy a bottle of beer once. Sadly, I was no better, I kissed a girl I no intention of marrying. I've even seen non-standard camming and carburetion, and exhaust pipes with no baffling!

Too soon old, too late smart. Last week I slept in late once...

Hello Paul, I too was banished from this form for what an administer said was disrespect to members and the forum.
The administrator was not capable of differentiating between a weak post of humor and a true mean spirited post. After being banned for a month I found KT is not the only firearm forum. Of course they're members that you miss but you live. If I am again banned I won't be back. This forum has lost its pinash. And everyone should remember it's about learning and enjoying each other's comments. If a little good hearted ribbing ruffles someones feeling lighten up.
Also not both administers or moderators are so power hungry. In my case I couldn't even reply.

WOW, I never though of myself as being in with a rough crowd......LOL! No baffles, now that is rebellious. That's funny Tourist!

As far as members problems, I hardly even notice and real mean disrespect here. I have quite a bit of leeway in my observations of posts. For the few that go beyond my limits I have my own ignore list and that takes care of it except I still wonder what they're saying!!
